Surroundings
The Panorama Hotel is located in Cerreto di Spoleto, a small village of Valnerina. This green area of Umbria offers several possibilities to spend free time such as: walkings, sports, food and wine tours.
Thanks to the presence of River Nera, Valnerina is a territory rich in paths, small waterfalls, landscapes and gorges which give the tourist the chance to practice and enjoy rafting, canyoning and kayak. Moreover, the Piana of Castelluccio is the ideal place to go hand-gliding or paragliding while Ferentillo offers wonderful location to climb.
Cultural and spiritual tours
The former Spoleto-Norcia railway is a mountain engeneering master-work. Built in 1926 and abandoned in 1968 it can be consdered a forgotten railway despite it is one of the most striking and charming place in Umbria with its unique path dipped into this green area.
The spiritual tours are interesting too with its several little chapels and important churches such those of Cascia and Norcia well known for their Patrons, Saints Rita and Benedetto.
Wine and food culture
Tasting, discovering and buying typical products, well known all over the world thanks to their quality certificates. This is the new frontier of Italian food and wine tourism. Some examples of local products are Norcia ham, Cascia saffron, Valnerina cheese and cold cuts.
Moreover, Umbria boasts the famous streets of Olive Oil and Sagrantino Wine (interesting tours not far from Cerreto) and some related events as well such as: Frantoi Aperti, Cantine Aperte, Vini nel Mondo.
